Manufacturer documentation is the starting point. Model, region and safety context stay attached to the meaning.

Where the information comes from

Our entries organize information from official manufacturer support resources and owner manuals. The sources section on each code page links directly to the supporting documentation. When shown, a source consultation date records when that source was consulted; it is not a claim that the page was reviewed today.

Keep the limits visible

Some sources name an exact model or series. Others describe a code without a complete list of applicable models. We preserve those limits and do not turn a series pattern into a list of compatible appliances. The initial lookup library uses entries with established US applicability.

Meaning is not a diagnosis

A documented fault meaning or possible cause does not confirm that a particular component has failed in your appliance. Causes and checks appear only when the researched source material contains them. We omit unsupported sections instead of filling the gaps.

Conflicts and incomplete entries

Some researched codes are not available in the lookup library because their meaning, applicability or safety instructions need further review. A larger research collection does not automatically mean more public pages.
